Happy week 13!! If you were to ask our parents, I’m sure they would agree! Andrew and I sent both sets of parents their souvenir from our most recent vacation. The gift was a pregnancy announcement card (taken on the beach while in Curacao) along with a note that gave them our permission to tell EVERYONE about our exciting news! Needless to say, they were thrilled to finally be able to tell their friends, coworkers, and other family members. Andrew and I also made the baby news “Facebook Official” by posting the beach photo and the first photo of the baby (the early ultrasound!). We were inundated with thoughtful messages from friends and family on Facebook.
This week our little one is three inches long! At nine weeks, baby was measuring at one inch, so there is a lot of growth happening right now in my tummy. 🙂 Andrew says that I have a falsely positive outlook on how I am feeling when people ask. Since he is with me every day, I should really have him write about how I’m doing! Here’s my version…I am still enjoying naps whenever I can take them. The naps never last for 20 minutes, but typically 2 hours or more. I’m not sure if my principal will go for the idea of “nap time” at school, but I may need to propose it! My nausea has gotten better, but I’m still having bouts that can make life a little uncomfortable at times. Andrew has started to talk to the baby, even though I’m not sure if baby can hear noises yet or not. I still think it’s sweet. 🙂 I wore my first pair of maternity jeans this week and was in heaven! They are so comfortable!! I have also had an annoying cold since we returned from vacation that doesn’t seem to want to go away, but it seems to be related to allergies (ragweed season) and pregnancy so I’m dealing with that as well. Andrew got a humidifier for our bedroom which has helped tremendously with me being able to sleep.
I can’t remember if I shared this in the last post, but the next ultrasound is scheduled for October 8th. We will be finding out if baby Jones is a BOY or a GIRL! You have 7 weeks to make your guess! 🙂
This bump photo was taken right after a two hour nap.
Loving all the baby bump photos!! I don’t know why, but I feel like it is a boy. Glad to hear the nausea has gone down. I agree, it is sweet Andrew has started talking to the baby. 🙂
